For properties that look like the picture, scattered tunnels or mounds, the natural state of this soil is to be infested. And, aside from our treatment, nothing can fix this. This is because this soil is like a "Mole Magnet" for neighborhood moles. And since moles are territorial, the rest of the neighborhood's moles are simply waiting for the current moles to die so they can have their turn to reinfest. That's why your years of trapping have had 0% success. Instead, our treatment helps apply “Push” to the existing “Pull” of your soil and gives you about a 70% shot at being Mole Free, when all else has failed. But, if you're one of the 30% whose treatment doesn't help and trapping has been useless, unfortunately there's no 3rd option for you.

Understand Your Mole Infestation

St. Louis Mole Removal proudly treats all of St Louis city and county: Affton, Arnold, Ballwin, Chesterfield, Crestwood, Creve Coeur, Ellisville, Florissant, Hazelwood, Kirkwood, Ladue, Lake St. Louis, Mehlville, Oakville, O'Fallon, St. Peters, Town and Country, Webster, Wentzville, Wildwood, Much of So. IL: Alton, Belleville, Collinsville, Columbia, Edwardsville, Fariview Heights, Counties of Jefferson, Franklin, St. Charles, Madison, Monroe, St. Clair.

Throughout the US, there are 2 very different types of mole infestation and the methods for stopping them aren't interchangeable.

Elsewhere, people can only fight moles by killing them with mole traps or poisons. But, when they have deep or widespread activity, mole trapping and poisons don't work so their mole infestation persists and there's no other option for them. They're stuck with moles indefinitely no matter what they do.

The same thing used to be true in St. Louis. For people with widespread mole tunnels or mounds that returned every year, there was no cure. If killing didn't work, you simply had to live with them.

However, 20 yrs ago, St. Louis Mole Removal began helping this "mole magnet" type of mole problem with our mole removal soil treatment. And 16,000+ customers later, our mole removal soil treatment offers about 70% success in helping to help with chronic mole infestation, when all else has failed.

Things to understand about your moles and our treatment:

  • Our mole removal treatment often helps when extermination has had 0% success. However, our 70% success rate also means a 30% failure rate. If you're one of those 30%, going back to a failed trapping strategy isn't likely to help you and there isn't a 3rd option.
  • We're not killing moles. Your problem is that your soil is attracting all the moles in the neighborhood. Since moles are territorial, killing moles just clears the way for the next moles to move in to re-infest. That's why extermination has never worked for you. Your property's a "Mole Magnet" in an infested neighborhood and all the other moles are just waiting for their turn to reinfest.
  • Our treatment doesn't kill moles, it helps to drive moles out and can keep them out long term. However moles responding to the treatment can be messy before it's pretty as a sign that moles are responding. So, you'll need to be patient and tolerant as moles deal with the stress and try to find your property's exits. Some wish that fighting this type of infestation was faster and easier than this. But it's this or trapping. If trapping failed, there's nothing else.
  • It often takes several rains for treatment to help. You have moles because your soil is the neighborhood's "Mole Magnet" and this widespread magnet is 2'-6'+ deep in your soil. The only way for the treatment to get down that deep is rain, and lots of it. FYI, if it hasn't rained for 2 mos, the treatment is still right at the surface where we left it. This often requires patience, especially in dry St Louis summers.
  • If you have widespread activity and trapping has always failed, treatment will usually help. By "Help", we mean sometimes 5+ yrs mole free, sometimes 5 mos mole free, sometimes a noticeable reduction in damage that trapping couldn't achieve...and sometimes nothing at all. You have to expect that or go back to trapping.
  • If/when your moles do return, what you're seeing is the natural state of your lawn's infestation. Without the treatment, that's how your property would look all the time.
  • Remember, with mounds or widespread activity, people outside St Louis have virtually no shot at becoming mole free and are often stuck with their moles indefinitely. For this, our treatment has about a 70% success rate when all else has failed.
